# 6th Grade Math Expressions, Equations, and Inequalities Worksheets

An expression is a number or variable or combination of number and variable. Whereas Inequalities is a numerical expression that has two sides and is connected with any arithmetic signs and an equation is a numerical expression that has two sides and is connected with an equal sign (=). Solving 6th grade expressions equations and inequalities worksheets helps the students to enhance their knowledge of how to balance sides of equations or inequalities and how to get inflecting the variables.

## Teaching the expression equation and inequalities easily.

The goal of solving a linear equation is to find the value of a variable; we isolate the variable step by step until only the variable is on one side of the equation and only a constant is on the other.

Expression: x + 5y – 10

Equation: 4x + 10 = 30

Solve the above equation for x.

• 4x = 30-10
• 4x = 20
• x = 20/4
• x = 5.

Inequality: 7x+3<5x+9

Solving the above inequality for x.

⇒ 7x+3-5x < 5x+9-5x

⇒2x+3 <9

⇒2x < 9-3

⇒ 2x < 6

⇒ x < 3

## Why Should you use expression equation and inequalities worksheets for your students?

• It will help the students to enhance their knowledge of how to balance sides of equations or inequalities.
• Students will easily grasp the concepts of inflecting the variables in equation or inequality.
