A fixed number that indicates the definite rate at which the ratios increase or decrease is known as the ‘constant of proportionality’. However, this is possible when two ratios are compared. When any ratio is written as a fraction, the constant of proportionality is the number that is obtained by dividing the denominator by the numerator. If these two ratios are having the same constant of proportionality, they are referred to as ‘directly proportional’.
