8th Grade Math Statistics Lesson Plan

This 8th grade math statistics lesson plan aligns with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. Students will learn to analyze and interpret data using measures of central tendency and variability. The lesson begins with an introduction to basic statistical vocabulary, such as mean, median, mode, and range.

Students will then explore how to calculate and interpret these measures using real-world data sets. They will also learn about the concept of outliers and how they can affect statistical analysis. The lesson includes interactive activities and opportunities for student collaboration, and assessments to ensure mastery of the concept. By the end of this lesson, students will have a solid foundation in statistical analysis that they can apply to a wide range of practical situations.
