Find Volume Of A Sphere Or Hemisphere Worksheet

8 problems

In 8th Grade, students learn how to find the volume of 3D figures such as cylinders, cones, spheres, and hemispheres. A sphere is a ball-shaped figure and a hemisphere is a bowl-shaped figure. The volume of a sphere is V = 4/3 πr^3, where r is the radius of the sphere and the volume of the hemisphere is half of the volume of a sphere.

Math teachers can provide “Find volume of a sphere or hemisphere worksheet” to their students. This worksheet includes a variety of problems that require students to calculate the volume of a sphere and hemisphere where the radius is given.

Grade 8
Volume
8.G.C.9

Students need to substitute the value of the radius in the formula V = 4/3 πr^3 to find the volume of the sphere. For example, if the radius of a sphere is 3 units, then the formula V = 4/3 πr^3 becomes V= 4/3π(3)^3.

After simplifications, the final values can be V=36π cubic units or V ≈ 113.1 cubic units. Therefore, the volume of the sphere is 36π  cubic units and the volume of the hemisphere is half of 36π, which is 18π cubic units
